Emerging from the quiet village of Wymeswold, nestled on the border between Nottinghamshire and Leicestershire, The Wave Pictures formed in the late 1990s as a group of school friends with second-hand instruments, a love of American indie rock, and an instinctive DIY ethic.
Now, with over two decades behind them, The Wave Pictures continue to evolve while staying true to the spirit that first inspired them: music made for the love of it, songs that are full of poetry and joy. The Wave Pictures are a band that — against all odds — has never stopped being themselves.

Support is Turner Cody.

Turner Cody arrived at the Sidewalk Cafe in New York City in the fall of 1999.
There he cut his songwriting teeth alongside other members of the Anti-Folk scene including Adam Green and Jeffrey Lewis.
New York was a different place at the end of the 20th century. The fertile mix which had so inspired artists in the 70s and 80s had not yet disappeared. It could still be felt in the open mics in the East Village and in the avant-garde performance clubs around the corner.  The Rock n’ Roll scene from which bands like The Strokes would soon emerge was in full swing in the bars of the Lower East Side, its leather-clad acolytes drinking and carousing deep into the night. This was the New York that Turner Cody and his fellow aspiring songwriters inhabited from park to pad to all-night diner.

No one was expecting the arrival of HOUSE Of ALL, a group comprised entirely of former members of The Fall: Martin Bramah (vocals, guitar), Pete Greenway (guitar), Paul Hanley (drums, vocals), Stephen Hanley (bass) and ‘Funky’ Si Wolstencroft (drums), Indeed, the first news of the group for most was an article in The Guardian about a ‘scandal’ caused by Martin’s (technically accurate) use of the phrase ‘a Fall family continuum’ to describe the band and its work, a piece which arrived in tandem with news of the group’s HOUSE Of ALL album, which sold by the bucketload and received tremendous praise from all corners.

A year later, CONTINUUM arrived, a long-player every bit as good as its predecessor. The boys toured behind each record, as well as enjoying the odd one-off gig here and there to satiate fan demand. After each studio albums, they released new fan-only compact disc / booklet packages loaded with live tracks, remixes and radio sessions.

The group’s original pledge to open to other members of The Fall family has been kept with the recent news of a third drummer, Karl Burns, who plays on their last album, HOUSE Of ALL SOULS, as well as Phil Lewis filling in live for Pete on live dates and playing on the new album, too.

Support comes from Precogs.

Precogs was formed by Tim Lyons and David Thom in 2020. They had both been in M/C band The Harveys during the 1990s.  Harveys toured with The Fall, and recorded sessions for both the John Peel and Johnny Walker shows. David was also in Calvin Party and Tim was a founder member of Sandells, and played in Rapid Pig.
